"Saga" is owned by Ursula Andersson at kennel Skyborne and we are pleased that Ursula has taken such good care of Saga's potential and recently "made her up". Saga comes from the first litter at Play A While were both sire and dam are bred here at Play A While (Play A While Whitstable Bay Ale X Ch Play A While Lady Orlando). We wish Ursula and Saga good luck in the show ring in the future!:)

Play A While-träff i Mora 19 juli

Alla som har whippets från Play A While är välkomna på kennelträff i Mora den 19 juli. Under dagen kommer vi att anordna olika aktiviteter, bland annat utställningsträning inför whippetklubbens riksutställning i Vilsta som pågår 21-22 juli. Mer info kommer! Dagen avslutas med gemensam middag på restaurang. Vi kommer att hålla till i Moraparken. Där finns också hotell, camping och stugor. http://www.moraparken.se/ Boka boende i tid! Juni (Ch Play A While Late Red Autumnhop Ale)

Juni is now in Mora with Mona to have her third litter, the sire this time is Play A While The Hours. As you can see in the photo Juni is already settled in with her brother Chivas and Lizzy a younger relative!:)

So within a few weeks we hope for a nice litter out of Juni at Play A While:)

Saturday the 5th of March I hade the pleasure of being invited to judge whippets and wolfhounds at a sighthound show in Turku, Finland. All in all I hade close to 100 dogs to judge so a busy day!:))

Last weekend Ch Play A While A Room With A View (Play A While Whitsable Bay Ale X Ch Play A While Lady orlando) won the Swedish champion title under judge Robert Paust. You can see "Saga" on the right. On the left is BOS-winner Undimoon Rocket To The Moon.

Currently litters produced or planned out of ”Juni’s” children are numerous in Sweden and now Juni her self has been mated!:)

At kennel Allettes, Ch Airescot Royal Romance has a litter of 1 dog and 3 bitches by Ch Play A While Nokia.

At kennel Whippmix, Play A While Monday or Tuesday has a litter of 2 dogs and 4 bitches by Ch Play A While Nokia

At kennel Swaara, Play A While Marimekko has a litter of 3 dogs and 4 bitches by Ch Khalibadh Snögubbe.

At kennel Nota’s Crew a litter out of Play A While Arabia by Ch Twyborn Chinese Dragon will soon be born.

At kennel Burnt Sienna Ch Burnt Sienna Midsummer Breeze has recently been bred to Ch Play A While Nokia.

And grandmother (maternal or paternal) of all the combinations above is Ch Play A While Late Red Autumnhop Ale who last week was mated to Play A While The Hours.

Change of plans

It was impossible to work out all practical matters concerning the planned insemination and in the end we had to rethink and now our beautiful “Juni”, Ch Play A While Late Red Autumnhop Ale has been mated to the promising young dog Play A While The Hours! You can view a photo pedigree here!

We are hoping to use beautiful “Brand”, Ch Tangen's The Maverick Cosmonaut in the future, and Iva Kimmelman (Merci Isle) is being very kind and is collecting Brand for us and in the near future frozen semen well be shipped to us, so that we can use Brand later on!:)

New litters upcoming and planned related to Play A While

Soon Play A While Marimekko, “Miki” will have a litter by Ch Khalibadh Snögubbe at kennel Swaara. Miki is from what is now named the “Finnish litter” by Ch Forgetmenot Flying Star out of Ch Play A While Late Red Autumnhop Ale because everyone in the litters are named after Finnish brands.

Miki's litter sister Play A While Arabia, “Våga” has recently been mated to Ch Twyborn Chinese Dragon and hopefully a litter will be born at kennel Nota's Crew!

Many years ago Gunnel Tengroth at kennel Whippmix used Ch Play A While at Peperone twice with good results. Now Gunnel's daughter Catarina has taken over the kennel and Play A While Monday Or Tuesday has been confirmed being in whelp and her litter by Play A While Nokia (also from the "Finnish litter") will hopefully turn out nice!:))

"Harry" (By Ch Khalibah Snögubbe out of Ch Play A While Lady Orlando) is now 9.5 months old and we are very pleased about his development!

Harry is owned by Jenny Thomsson.

We are panning two litters at Play A While during 2011, it all depends on when the two bitches comes in to season and if that is suitable for Mona and Henrik. It is mother and daughter who hopefully will have litters!

Ch Play A While Late Red Autumnhop Ale will have a third and last litter and her lovely daughter Play A WhileTiimari will have her first. We are very grateful that Mira’s owner Susanne Forsgren will let us have this litter out of “Mira”!:)

We have not yet decided sires for the future litters but we are searching and planning at the moment and we will get back with information as soon as we have finalised everything!:)

Thinking about what to do!:)

Friday last week I made my debut as an official judge in Gothenburg. In conjunction with the big international happening My Dog the Western Sighthound Club held a specialty and I judged a number of sighthound puppies, whippet and greyhound. It was a lovely day with lots of nice dogs and I now really look forward to my next assigment in Finland in March in Kaarina outside Turku!:) In Finland I am going to judge whippet and Irish wolfhound.

In December Juni (Ch Play A While Late Red Autumnhop Ale) and Henrik went to the big annual show in Stockholm. Juni was shown in a very nice champion class but unfortunately Juni was not placed but got a very nice written critique by judge Lee Pieterse from Australia (Statuesque). Juni and Henrik had a very nice time in Stockholm staying in a very nice hotel with great service including free transport forth and back from the hotel. This was Juni's first outing in the ring for a very long time and we were very happy to get many nice comments from ringside that Juni was looking better than ever!!:))

Long time no seeing!:)

Have not written anything on the blog for a long while, have not happen much for a long time with the dogs and I don't want to feel the blog is “demanding”, I want to write when I feel good about it. I was supposed to have shown little Busan twice in October and November last year but due to misfortune we missed both shows so Busan (Play A While I Fädrens Spår) will not be shown in puppy class at all. Hopefully we will be a bit more active with the dogs and more to report on the blog?:)

Play A While The Hours (Ch Khalibadh Snögubbe X Ch Play A While Lady Orlando). "Harry" was best male puppy dog 6-9 months.

Play A While Brideshead Revisited (Ch Khalibadh Snögubbe X Ch Play A While Lady Orlando). "Lizzy" was third in bitch puppies 6-9 months.

Play A While Tjejvasan (Allettes Figaro X Ch Play A While Late Red Autumnhop Ale). "Nessie" was number 5 in bitch puppy class 4-6 months.

Play A While Kranskulla (Allettes Figaro X Ch Play A While Late Red Autumnhop Ale), was third in bitch puppy class 4-6 months.

Our "oldie" "Smirre", Ch Play A While Kometen Kommer (Zelig Roke X Leyenda Miyabi Oh So Sexy)was number 5 in the champion's class

The puppies was judged by Inger Carlsson, kennel Klenods and the adults by Annica Janzon, kennel Hot Isle.
