Förintelsen - Holocaust

Kanske ni som jag har fått en Power Point-presentation där förintelsen presenteras i ord och bild och så långt är allt bra och behjärtansvärt, men i texten finns ett stort fel och en värdering som är farlig. Det skrivs att engelska skolan skall ta bort undervisning om förintelsen ur läroplanen då det kan uppröra vissa muslimer. Nummer ett, förintelsen skall inte tas bort ur undervisningen och två, detta leder till negativ inställning mot muslimer på felaktig grund. Alla behöver vi bli bättre på att kritiskt granska alla dessa kedjemail som skickas vidare som på olika sätt skall ”uppröra” oss.

Maybe you have received a Power Point presentation concerning the Holocaust where it is presented in photos and text. So far so good, but in the text it is written that the curriculum in the UK will be changed and that the schools are no longer going to teach about the Holocaust. But this is not correctly information. The curriculum is not going to be altered because certain Muslim groups could be upset about the teaching about the Holocaust. I find this upsetting as this helps to create a negative view on Muslims based on false information. Maybe we all ought to be more critical to all these chain mails that are cent around on the Internet in order to “upset” us?
