Sunday Michael Vikström (Twyborn whippets) and I went to an all breed show in the small village of Ransäter in the county of Värmland. The judge was Lotte Jörgensen of Boxadan fame from Denmark. Michael’s Ch Twyborn Grey Gardens was BOB and fourth in the group. My Juni, Play A While Late Red Autumnhop Ale was runner up top bitch and got the CAC (CC) but according to the new rules of winning the champion title in Sweden a sighthound must win at least one CAC at a sighthound show, so though Juni has enough CAC she cannot gain the title….. Juni’s litter sister Play A While Sheperd was third best bitch!


This was one of the warmest shows I have ever attended in Sweden and it was around 32 degrees (C°) in the shade. I have been to warmer shows abroad and remember a ridiculously hot show at Windsor back in the eighties! Luckily we could find god shading close to the whippet ring!


My friend Linda was showing her basenjis at a specialty outside the main area for the all breed show in a field with no natural shading at all…. Her basenjis were very brave and “showed off” in spite of the heat! I had the honor of showing Linda’s fantasticly beautiful bitch Frida (Klassic's Justa Natural ) that is also unusually nice tempered. Frida did very well and was awarded BOB. Fun to show a dog of another breed for a change!



Söndag for Michael Vikström och jag till Ransäter och ställde ut under Lotte Jörgensen. Det blev goda resultat och Michaels Twyborn Grey Gardens blev BIR och BIG-4. Play A While Late Red Autumnhop Ale blev tvåa bästa tik med cert och hennes kullsyster Play A While Sheperd Neame slutade placeringen bakom syrran som trea bästa tik.

Det är nog den varmaste utställning jag upplevt i Sverige vad jag kan minnas!! I närbelägna Sunne var det enligt SMHI 32 grader och Ransäter var nog inte annorlunda. Som tur var kunde vi hitta lite skugga nära whipetringen.

Min kompis Linda ställde ut sina basenjis på ett område utanför kennelklubbsutställningen på deras specialklubb och runt deras ring fanns ingen naturlig skugga överhuvudtaget..... Jag hade äran att visa Lindas fantastiskt fina och trevliga amerikanska import Frida (Klassic's Justa Natural) och hon slutade som BIR!! Jättekul att visa en hund av en annan ras då det var länge sedan jag gjorde det.
