Jag blev utmanad att publicera en bild under Mina Bilder på datorn och här kommer den bild som blev resultatet av det.
På bilden syns systrarna Ashton Cross med ett knippe pekar på väg in till Crufts, förmodligen på 20-talet. Familjen Ashton Cross är legendariska inom rasen pekingsese med den berömda uppfödningen under namnet Alderbourne med mamma Clarice i spetsen tillsammans med döttrarna Viloet, Aimee, Marjorie och Cynthia.
Familjen drev en exklusiv pekingese-butik i Mayfair från slutet av 30-talet fram till mitten av 60-talet och systrarna turades om att ta tåget in till London från hemmet The Wilderness för att jobba i butiken.
Industrimagnaten JP Morgan blev så förtjust i den lille magnifike pekingese-hanen Ch Chu-Erh of Alderbourne att han erbjöd Clarice en blank check, men erbjudandet mottogs ej. Chu-Ehr sov i mamma Clarices säng hela livet och hon ville inte släppa sin trogne vän.

In the photo you can see the Ashton Cross sisters and their footmen on way in to Crufts, probably in the twenties. The Ashton Cross family is legendary in the Pekingese breed history. They bred pekes for a very long time under the prefix of Alderbourne with the family head Clarice together with the daughters Violet, Aimee, Marjorie and Cynthia.
The family also ran an exclusive Pekingese shop in Mayfair from the end of the thirties until the middle of the sixties and the sisters took turns to take the train in to London from their home The Wilderness to attend the shop.
The famous business man JP Morgan offered a blank check for the little magnificent dog Ch Chu-Erh of Alderbourne as he was so taken by him but Clarice turned him down as Ch-Erh was her favorite dog and he slept his all life in Clarice’s bed!!
